Overview
Custom Professional Resume is a personal, one-on-one resume service for professionals at all levels of their careers, as well as those re-entering the workforce or changing careers.
You have less than 30 seconds to makea good impression. You need to make it easy for them to recognize your potential and fit within the organization.
It’s hard to write about yourself. Leslie Billet is the sole proprietor of Custom Professional Resume (CPR). I work with you directly to understand your work history, skills, strengths and accomplishments, as well as gaps and issues you may have. Listening to you describe these elements in your own words makes it possible for me to capture them in a resume that is accurate and authentic, which makes it easy for you to discuss.
The process is oriented around the Consultation. This is the most effective way for me to develop your new resume.
Custom Professional Resume is not a career counseling service, and it is not a recruiting firm.
How It Works
I. Conversation/Quote:
Once you contact me, we will speak about your resume needs.
You will need to send me your current resume to review.
Based on your job level and experience, I will send you a quote for specified services.
Once we agree on the services and fee, I will send you a confirmation.
All fees need to be paid in full through Venmo, in advance of the Consultation and before any work is done.
II. Consultation:
The one-on-one Consultation is what makes Custom Professional Resume a personalized service that produces effective results. It helps me to create a resume that effectively captures your skills, strengths and accomplishments.
The first consultation is often 1.5 hours.
I then produce the first draft for your review, after which we will have another consultationl
From there, I will produce another draft, or more, until we get it just right.
Once we agree on the services and the fee, we will set up a time for a Consultation. This can be by phone or Zoom.
III. Final Product
One all the changes are incorporated, I will send you the final resume as an MSWord document and as a PDF. Any corrections or changes thereafter are your responsibility.
Leslie E. Billet
Ms. Billet has spent 20 years in the financial services industry as an institutional investment consultant, helping boards of trustees develop and execute investment programs for pensions, 401(k)s, endowments and operating accounts. She has worked with a variety of clients, including corporations, endowments and foundations, other not-for-profits, and ERISA qualified clients. She has worked with money managers, lawyers, auditors and staff to help create successful programs, good customer experiences, and smooth operations for her clients. She has had years of experience interviewing candidates, reviewing resumes, and writing resumes to help people succeed. She has worked with very senior financial services professionals. She has participated in the Baruch Alumni Mentor’s Program, and she has worked with high school seniors in a college-prep enrichment program, developing their resumes. Ms. Billet has her BA from Boston University and her MBA from Baruch College, CUNY.
